AEROSMITH

AEROSMITH

My Music Blog

There are people you come across in life who have good taste in music. My dad is one of those people. Autumn’s brother Samuel has good taste in music. My brother’s best friend Brenton is a huge music lover and he has influenced me with music through the years. I also have a few Facebook friends who are huge music lovers who have similar taste in music as me. One of the factors I love about the internet is that it can put you in touch with people who also love music. It’s difficult to meet people in real life and it’s even more difficult to make new friends in real life. There are a lot of apps on the internet for finding dates, but I like friendships, and people who love music and films. It’s hard to find people like that in real life, so that’s why I like the internet.

There was a girl who went to the same high school as myself, her name was Molly and she definitely had good taste in music. She had a passion for music, I remember she was a big fan of Aerosmith, INXS U2, and numerous music artists. She worked at Rolling Stone magazine once because knowing that I was a fan of Madonna she gave me all these old rare magazines with Madonna on them (which I still have in storage).

In high school we had to do an English assignment, I don’t actually remember what the assignment was supposedly about, but I do remember Molly decided to do it on Aerosmith. This was when Aerosmith became popular and Janie’s Got a Gun and Love in an Elevator was first released, we were all still very young. Molly, Katie, and I were in the same English class together so we were in a group of three. Because I used to be arty, I did the poster. Katie did the writing and the decorating (promotion leaflet) and Molly made the video. It was probably one of my favourite assignments I did at school. Another assignment I enjoyed doing at school was one I did for history – we had to do a subject that changed through time – I remember one boy in our class wanted to do an assignment on “sex” and everyone laughed. I decided to do it in movies because I’ve always been passionate about film. I remember spending hours and hours doing my history assignment because I was just so passionate about it. I got the highest mark for it; probably one of the highest marks I ever got at school the teacher really loved it and knew a lot of the movies that I put on it. I hated doing homework and I never did homework, but I always enjoyed doing assignments. I remember when I left school; I threw everything away and burned it in the backyard. I hated school so much I wanted to leave no memory of it behind.
