THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK
The most famous diary of All-Time. Anne Frank was given a diary on her birthday. Her family had to hide in an attic from the Nazis. When they were discovered they were put in concentration camps and they were all killed except for her father. After WWII he returned to the attic and one of their minders gave him Anne's diary as well as the loose sheets of paper that she had written on. All of this was first published in 1947.

  [Diary post I wrote when I was a child] CREATURE FEATURES One night Chrissy and I wanted to stay up and watch a TV show called Creature Features which was on at midnight every Friday night. By the time it came on we were really tired and at the beginning of the show, a hand came out of the coffin. Autumn freaked out and started screaming, Chrissy and I started laughing. Autumn fell asleep and about ten minutes into the show, Dad came into our room turned the TV down, and told us, 'Are use deaf or something?" When he left Chrissy blocked Autumn's nose when she was fast asleep, Autumn woke up snorting and shouting. We asked her what the matter was and she said she had a nightmare that a dead person was about to kill her. Chrissy and I just laughed. [At Dads: Kingswood]
